Tournament Eligibility and Format

• Open to athletes from EBF member federations.

• Organized by ISBT/CS Reinvent, taking place at IDM Club, Bucharest, Romania.

• Event dates: August 18–24, 2025.

• Categories: Singles Men & Singles Women, 50+ age category.

• Age Handicap: Players aged 51+ receive a handicap bonus (e.g., 51 years = 1 pin per game, 52 years = 2 pins per game, etc.).

Qualification & Tournament Structure

• Qualification Phase: 6 games played per entry.

• Re-entries: Players can enter multiple times (series of 6 games).

• Turbo Competition: Only for athletes who prepay the turbo fee before their squad starts. All 6 games count toward turbo ranking.

• Desperado Squad: Single-game event for last-chance qualification.

Tie-Breaking Rules

• In case of a tie, the athlete with the lowest bonus is ranked higher.

• If still tied, the best last game is considered (final step, turbo squad, etc.).

• For Desperado Squad, frames 9-10 will be replayed until the tie is broken.

Final Qualification for Men & Women

• Men's Finalists:

  • Top 14 from general ranking.

  • Top 3 from Early Birds (squad 1-7).

  • Top 3 from Scratch Ranking.

  • Top 2 from Turbo Ranking.

  • Top 2 from Desperado Squad.

• Women's Finalists:

  • Top 6 from general ranking.

  • Top 2 from Early Birds (squad 1-7).

  • Top 2 from Scratch Ranking.

  • Top 1 from Turbo Ranking.

  • Top 1 from Desperado Squad.

Final Rounds

• Step 1 (Men & Women): Players ranked lower compete in a 4-game round; top performers proceed to the next stage.

• Step 2 (Men): Top players from general ranking join those advancing from Step 1; another 4-game round determines finalists.

• Final (Men & Women): Round Robin format for 8 men and 6 women.

Lane Assignments & Movements

• Lane assignments are done by the organizer.

• Players switch lanes after two qualification games and after each final round.

• Movement pattern: left lanes move left, right lanes move right.
